Riding Quads In The Saddleback Service Roads.
Last Saturday, my friend and I decided to take our quads out to ride, but didn't have the time to go to an SVRA OHV park, so we decided to head up El Toro Road to the Saddleback Mountains. If you take Silverado Canyon Road all the way to the rear, there is a hiking trail and service road for forest fires. We ended up riding the road all the way to the back side of Corona. Each corner was a joy sliding the bikes around. We ended up getting warning tickets with the Forest Patrol guys. It was well worth it. Haulin ass for 15 miles in a controlled slide a majority if the time is well worth a warning ticket. Pictured is my friend on my Yamaha Raptor 660 sliding the rear in a hairpin corner, recovering from a slide from a different corner, a shot of Corona from a dirt turnout on top of Saddleback Mountain (in Cleveland National Forest), and the final pic is my friend ready to slide out the rear in a hairpin turn.

If you guys EVER, and I mean EVER want to go riding, just send me a PM. I'm always money for doin it in the dirt.

kevsS2, the Blaster not only has a lot less CCs than the Raptor, it is a quad made to suit the beginning rider without lots of experience. The Blaster has a shorter and narrower wheelbase than full size quads like the Banshee and the Raptor. The Raptor also provides for more torque, bigger gas tank, etc. You will have fun with the Raptor. My friend brought along his Banshee along with me, which is a two stroke quad (POWERBAND) compared to the four stroke of the Raptor. If you are an experienced rider, the YFZ450 is a lighter, more compact four stroke much faster than the Raptor and Banshee (supposedly) while providing the rideability of a four stroke engine. All three shocks have external reservoirs and the front two are height adjustable along with having a revised, lighter swingarm. It's a four stroke quad suited to the track. I'd like to ride one. I would recommend getting a Raptor if you have ridden before. It will provide years of fun while also having a forgiving ride that the Banshee cannot provide for the beginner.
Just sold my Banshee a few months ago... Proly end up with the new 450 which I don't believe is faster than the Banshee. Nothin' can pull on that six speed. That is why they are so popular at the "sand drags."

Ive got a Banshee, it's faster than a raptor.. I think a 450 with the proper exhaust and jet is faster then a banshee.. But then what do you want something that puls like a VTEC
or like a "normal" engine..
