Default Rollbar pics please...

Hi guys, please can we collect a few pics in this thread of some rollbars/rollcages? I'm going to get one just for looks, so I would like to see some that are available. Thanks a lot in advance.

Well, believe it or not, I choose not to track an 8 year old car since I can't afford engine rebuilds or other parts that may go wrong if I track it hard, and I'm not in the habit of crashing it. Therefore, I don't NEED it for safety reasons, therefore I am buying it for cosmetic reasons. I like the way they look.

Basically, the main reason I said that was so people don't start coming out with $2000 race approved parts, cos that would just be a waste of money for me. If I do ever roll the car and the (cheap 4 point) bar saves my life, well great!

^ I think you'll find that majority of the people will say a rollbar in the car without wearing a helmet or having harness will cause a lot more harm than good in a crash.

Yeh, but those are the same people who forbid VTECing in the city, and the opinions of such people carry zero weight with me. I drive very well, I used to race, and I did not buy a sports car to drive within the speed limits. Besides you can always put padding for track days, or wear a helmet. On the street I'm not going to be doing anything remotely crazy enough to roll the car.

Having said that, once again, I'm not buying the rollbar cos I want to drive the car harder and feel safer, it won't change the way I drive in the slightest. I'm buying it cos I like the look of it, BUT... A cheap 4 point rollbar saved S2000GT's life, and he wasn't wearing a helmet, so I guess they do more good than harm anyway. Also, I'm 6'2", and the top of my head is above the stock rollbars. I would definitely have a very bad headache if I ever did roll the S in stock form.
