I have a bad habbit of going to other car forums and one of the first things I do is search for "S2000" to see what they're saying about the car (: This thread is actually interesting because most people say it's apparent the S2000 driver isn't pushing it very hard, that the car can do a lot more. Nice of them, even if they are correct (:

 

The RX-8 red lined every time. I don't think the S hit it once. Either he is new or dose not want to rag out his S. It is funny to read what the RX-8 people say even though the S was in the front the whole time.

 

Yeah, I saw a couple comments about them saying "I'm glad the 8 passed him at the end", which sounded legitimate before I watched the video. But after watching it it's OBVIOUS he passed because it was his turn to be the film car.

 

Ack! I've never gotten so annoyed watching a race video! VTEC, man! Please, take it over 6k!

I couldn't stand to watch more than the first few minutes, but I'm hoping those were his first couple laps around the track and he was just walking the course...

 

That dude suck at driving, where's the damn rev match? And he shift so freaky early

 

the driving wasn't all that...on either side.

Personally, if I had my choice between those two cars on that track I'd chose the RX-8. Supposed to handle vrey well (not to say that the s2k doesn't).

 

Dammit I wish there was a track where I can go to to practice driving. NYC sucks with an s2000

I couldn't put it better, so I quote brothervoodoo, one of the rx8club members that posted in the thread:

"Keep your shorts on. Read Andrea's posts, he clearly stated the s2000 had brake issues, and he himself had burnt some coils. Out of the two Andrea is clearly the better driver, that's all you really need when you have two cars that are reasonably matched within some degree give or take. It's a video of two unknown people, look at it for enjoyment and not as proof that x is better than y."
