I don't think he mis-shifted either, because the S2K has a nice, linear pull. It's not like they're even then he misses and the S2K jumps really far ahead: the S2K pulls steadily from the start to finish.
Sorry if I'm a bit hostile, I just hate how whenever a Vette is involved in something where it doesn't win people always conclude that the driver messed up, didn't try, or something else unfair was going on.

Not taking anything away from the S... And the reason a lot of people start making excuses when a vette loses to an S2000 in a straight line is because it doesn't happen very often. Now I'm not saying it can't happen and it didn't happen, all I was saying is the Vette driver definitely missed a gear. Right at the beginning you can hear him stomp it and then when he says "God damn son of a bitch" the engine noise drops and he lets off the gas for a quick second.
I'm sure there are plenty of supercharged and turbocharged S2K's that will smoke vettes and even this S shown here may be able to. All I am saying is the results weren't a hundred percent accurate because the vette missed a gear, and in a race that's the vettes problem for not being able to drive and the S wins regardless...

Um are you guys blind? Look at his RPM... it stays at a certain level for a whole 2-3 seconds than he floors it. Obviously this isnt a real race, you can even hear when he downshifts and floors it.

No offense but if you listen to it he does let off...
