S2000 in Forza 2 video!
i am a LONG time GT fan. i've been playing the GT series for, shit almost 10 years. forza is no where near the driving feel of GT. not even close.
i.e. on GT4 at the "scuba" circut i can run 1:05's all day with a stock AP1. no driving aids, on street tires. my modded(NA) S2k's runs from the 59sec range(full bolt ons) to the 54sec range with the opera performance s2000.
on forza i cant run even close to those times. the game smiply will not let you pitch the car into a corner, tail brake, brake deep into corners, and sustain a anykind of high speed cornering. to me the game sucks. i would almost rather play GT3 over forza.

YEA right, the day that GT feels realistic is the day that ps3 drops to 300 bucks. At least in forza the split screen does not effect the performance of the cars. Every time i try to race someone in GT i find myself drifting at 10mph.

I'm exact opposite.. I could care less about 100 layers of paint and adding riced out stickers and generic body kits. I wasn't impressed with how the cars drove in Forza 1, nor care for racing online that much only to race against some h4x0r or kid who constantly runs his mouth. I'd rather sit and do time attacks against myself or with some friends with a more realistic looking car. The Forza cars were all slightly disproportionate like mentioned above. Forza has a lot to offer a lot of people, but I'm just not buying what Forza is selling. The damage factor was cool at first but got old after a while... I think the Gran Turismo flaw is by far the sound more than anything.. maybe they will ramp that up in the next one or it sounds like Forza will own in that dept.
Comparing times is tough with mods, but just for *hits and grins I ran the R8 in forza on Laguna Seca and compared it to what the R10 ran on the ALMS series. VERY convincing that if i had put some time into it I could have gotten down to what Mcnish was posting in qualifying (I was 1.5-2 seconds off).
I played Tourist Trophy recently and it was a decent game but it sure did have its flaws. I guess im used to the online community and that ANYTHING goes, regardless of the games flaws. In TT we were trying to post decent times on Laguna (me, a guy from work and a few other of his friends) just a friendly contest. My friend and i found out if you crash at certain points it will set you back on the track at a VERY advantageous position and took 2-3 seconds off our laps like that. Of course we wernt going to win by cheating so we let the other guys know of that glitch, some of them had found it. That wouldnt fly online and there would be people exploiting a lot about the game. ESP the damage issues in GT i believe.
When you said "Forza has a lot to offer a lot of people, but im just not buying what Forza is selling" I think that is VERY true and the Forza VS GT issue shouldnt be an issue at all for i feel they are different, and appeal to different people for different reasons.
I'll play GT cause i like cars and it looks pretty, but Forza is fun to me and I can and have played it hours on end racing people all over the world....cannot get enough!

I said looks realistic.. you might want to read what people actually post before you reply.

I don't think its my lack of reading as much as what you implied. So instead of playing word games with you i will simply state that the GT franchise has made many promises in the past and has failed to deliver. Making assumptions about a game that will likely be delayed till Q4 2008 is just stupid. The same goes for FORZA but at least we know for sure that it will come with a online mode.
