S2000 with Solstice Pics

I think the Saturn Sky wins the battle for the domestic coverts..
I think the Saturn version has much better looking sheet metal although neither car stands up to the S2000. I "am" biased in that opinion though!

I think both the Sky and Solstice are solid contenders in their price ranges. About the only thing I wish GM had been able to do is design the top so the driver didn't have to exit the car to operate it. Granted, it's fully trimmed out with the top down, unlike the S2000, but it'll be a total PITA in bad weather situations. There have been times when I wished the S2000 was designed more like that but I wouldn't be willing to take any hits in trunk space or the price of the car to get it. So, all things considered, I think what Honda did with the S2000's top is a reasonable compromise, at least for me!

I think that clears up any aesthetic debate over the two cars. If there ever was one.
The Sky is sooooo much better looking IMO.

The Sky/Solstice are pretty nice looking in person, IMO.
I just noticed that Pontiac made absolutely no room for a front mounted license plate.
For instance, if you look at the S2000, at least the front is flat as to accommodate a license plate (aesthetically), so that it can be placed there if absolutely necessary (as it is in my state), but I literally can't see where one would mount a plate on the Solstice, short of using a zip tie and threading it through the front grill. But back to my point, the entire Solstice front end is curved, which would make a plate look completely out of place, whereas on the S2000 front, at least it's tolerable.
