thanks for posting that!! I really liked this video from the same guy. Car seems to have more mods in this one as well, and sounds awsome:

That's pretty nice driving, he's very confident with the car and not pushing the limits in the traffic, good job and an enjoyable watch.

About the other, whether it's drifting or not, well, the corners aren't sweeping enough to do real long drifts, so I reckon he's doing his best with what's available, and it looked pretty good, he was having fun, and I enjoyed watching it, everybody's happy!

you're right, that exactly what it is.... but it is in fact a drifting technique called "power over".

tsuchiya explains it as the most basic of all drifting forms, and the one he and his friends used to practice with when they were amateurs. it's basically a good technique for initiating a drift and getting a feel for how the car is going to react, but it's not an advanced technique by any means.

^ i guess it would be a good build up to drifting, and he can clearly do it, as seen in the end.

i just always thought of it more as an agressive u-turn...

hahah. yeah, especially with how tight those corners are. but, you can start a drift with power-over and actually hold it through different angles depending on entry speed, and you could do an extended drift around a decently sized corner using this method.

I'm sure hes just more concerned about where he is doing it and if its really worth hitting the barrier or going off the mountain. I'm sure he would drive much better in a big lot or something because he has no worries.

The s driver on the other hand I'm not so sure... It was almost as if he was trying to drive like his friend.
