S2000 unsolved mysteries
what the hell happen to this car?
i saw this car a couple weeks ago in san franciso near the Lambard street. By the looks of the rusted brake pads, it's been there for a while like that...
looks like a tragedy. i had to stop, get out of my car, give my respect and take these pictures. other cars stopped to see the damage also.
who's car is this?? is the owner still alive? why is it still parked there? if thieves stole the rims, why did they take only the the wheels from the left side? if the owner took them off, why the hell? why did he get black and not take care of the paint? why didn't honda give rear glass window for 00-01 models?

the rotors can surface rust in a couple of hours on a humid evening here in Fla, dunno about Cali.
I have to add though, ewwww look at that huge, crooked, bright red & white bumper sticker! If it's a parking pass, at least it could have been put on straight!
I agree, it's a sad looking sight.
Poor unloved little car all by it's lonesome, waiting for the next earthquake to end it's suffering.....
OK maybe a little overdramatic, how about waiting for someone to find the owner and give the car back if it was stolen, OR smack the snot out of them for letting it get that way, OR buy it cheap and treat her right!

I'd better not post any pictures of my car, you guys would crucify me
(450 miles on UK roads in wet weather = my car looking like it was dragged out of a peat bog!)
Hey, the guy might have started painting his calipers and got called away or he could have taken the rims to have kerb marks removed
Who knows! (It sure does look like they've been stolen though doesn't it??)

Looks like the owner jacked it up because it's the S2000's jack underneath. That also isn't the best place for the jack.
And also, rotor rust can appear very quickly. Mine has it in a matter of hours on a rainy day in Kansas City.
