as a owner of both a s2k and Mk6 GTI I'd say the race was pretty good. GTI makes its power at 5100rpm and max torque at 1800rpm so pass 5000rpm to its 7000 redline she's a dog. plus curb weight is 3300lbs she's a fat dog. GTI has great low to mid torque. 1800-4000rpm she pulls hard thanks to that turbo. but after that it's a dog. unless you start modding the turbo and or the engine. love both cars for two different reasons. 1 comfy sporty daily driver and 1 sweet sport roadster for fun.

 

What I find funny is that they both have the same size motor, except the VW is boosted

 

AP2 is 2.2L
MK6 GTI is 2.0L

 

i think hes refering to 4 cylinders. GTIs should really push more power though with a turbocharged 2.0l

 

The result was obvious, I could tell you that on a 30 - 120 the car goes hand to hand with a MPS 3... both bone stock.

 

He never had a chance.

 

Yea be careful in the rain, even with Good tires going that fast your still at risk of sliding, ect. Hence why when it rains I like to do easy donuts round polls in empty lots
