S2000s in GT4 (PS2)
Yeah they always show off pics of the game in reply mode with really high rez. And while the graphics are awesome they won't looks quiet that good when your actually playing. Still can't wait.
I played a demo for forza at Gamestop a little while back. I was really looking forward to this game but they really did something with the controls that makes the game near impossible. I've been playing race games since Pole Position on Atari and I've never seen more horrible control's and physics in my life. I hope it was something wrong with the controler but when you brake, the car slides and doesn't stop. It wasn't the ebrake either. I tried 3 different cars, turned traction assist on and off and the game was IMPOSSIBLE to play. I have no idea what was up with it. I hope the final version is better cause the demo was rediculous.

And the Amuse S2000s are confirmed, nothing particularly special if you ask me. The S2000 LM Race Car still takes the cake for trophy delivery.
Not to mention, you can buy NOS for 90% of the cars.
I wont be buying Forza since its gonna be a cut down version of GT4 with the only key feature selling it being online play. Besides if you end up buying both, you will have to put some serious time in to both of them to actually get anywhere. Would be like trying to juggle two Final Fantasy games at the same time, just not going to happen well.
GT4 has had 3 previous games to get things right and know what it did wrong and what to do right.
Forza will have clearly studied them but its tech teams wont have the background like the GT team has.
Lastly look at Forzas S2000 and then GT4's, it just doesnt compare.

Just to clarify some things. PS3 will have a new Gran Turismo 5 game a few months after the systems release. So really no need for Gran Turismo 4 to come out now. Sony should just wait and release the game with the release of the PS3 next year. I would rather wait one more year and get a better quality HR graphic game on the PS3. Also the XBox 2 should be out soon.

The picture that I posted doesn't look as good as the PS2 ones because its in low res. The PS2 can't display the high res graphics in the pictures in real time, rather most of these pics are from photo mode which allows you to pose a picture and then let the PS2 render it in high resolution onto a memory card or other storage device.
A better comparison is to look at pictures of in game shots from GT4 and Forza to compare them... Unfortunately I couldnt find any in-game shots of the exact same car, but take a look at these:

I dunno if I can say that one looks a heck of a lot better than the other. (I should also note that the Forza pic is from an early demo copy and the picture looked kindof fuzzy like it was grabbed with an image capture software).
Sounds like Forza got pushed back until April though
... So no racing goodness from either camp until March at the earliest.
