Nice mini. My Fiance' has one and it def handles very well. Its not the S version, so its very very slow. I hope to trade in my DD corolla for a clubman S in the future. Anyway goodluck with the mini

Thanks everyone for the replies. I hope everyone understands that letting go of the s was not my choice haha. It was something that had to be done. But the mini is actually a suitable replacement. It handles great in the canyons. And the spare room makes it a truck compared to the limited space in an s. Granted you don't get and s2k for storage but it's nice to be able to throw my bike in the car no prob. Which is why I'm prob keeping the mini and getting another s2 for more spirited drives.

That said I had a gpw. But am having trouble deciding on berlina, dark silver, or staying gpdub. I'm sure I will make the right decision soon loll

Great car. Get back into an S whenever you can. We'll be here.

The older ones (like this one) were SCed, the newer body style S is turbo.

These things handle fantastic for a FWD car, especially with the right mods. I had a chance to autocross my friend's modded Cooper S (10psi pulley, reflash, exhaust, rear swaybar & coilovers IIRC) and I was very impressed. The only thing I disliked was the driving position, which to me felt more like a minivan than a hot hatch. It might be better with some racing buckets, but it just felt awkward to me.

the seats are a little awkward. they feel like they were made for people who weigh 200+ lol. i have a 18% pully for my supercharger and an alta intake. just those small modifications made a big difference. the sound is amazing and in higher rpms, and coming out of the corners it really pulls.

thanks again for the comments guys! more pics to follow. since i got these new wheels ive been dieing to do a shoot. the pics really dont do the car justice

I like the Minis....they can be made in to a hot little ride. I just cant stand the interior with the huge tachs.
