S2k---->EVO---->M3
If I had the means, I would also get an M3....for now this is how the last cars went in the last 2 years:
STi <- A4 1.8T Q <- WRX <- A4 2.8
S2000 <- 515hp 300ZTT <- S2000 < - 400hp 300ZTT
At least I am keeping it in the family.... :-)

I haven't been around as much as others, but here's my chain:
93 Civic Hatchback > 97 M3 Coupe > 01 s2000 .... and hopefully not before long... e46 M3 again. So great choice silverbullet.
I guess i'm a Honda/BMW guy... at least until I can afford the Ferrari. Honda/BMW/Ferrari...
Sorry Porsche fans, if I didnt have enough for a Modena, but could finagle a Carrera, i'd still opt for the M3 and pocket the difference.
Disclaimer: I'm not demeaning Porsche automobiles. They make fantastic sports cars. Its just my opinion.

E46 M3
Evo=Fast as hell, but equally as ugly. I need looks and speed, good mix of both. S is good mix of both for now. M3 is a much better mix of looks and speed(also twice the price of an S). Good luck

BTW, I didn't mean to turn this into a "what car did I have thread", but just a comparison of what I and other people had after the S2000, which also included a E46 M3. I guess what didn't get conveyed was why would he think an E46 M3 would be any better than the EVO if he didn't like that? Especially since he misses a two-seater convertible...
Unless there's a brandname bling factor involved the EVO is every bit the, if not better, performance car the (overpriced) M3 is.
This is how i ve gone
