Hey ice, iw as talkin to my friend that has one and he says that the device beeps wherever there is a bank or construction going on and so forth. he says its annoying beacuse it beeps soo much n not just for cops but other things as well.

Alot of radar detectors do pick up laser detection but by the time your radar picks it up it is too late for you to slow down b/c laser travels in the speed of light unlike radio waves like k and ka band. so its basically pointless to even detect laser.

B SweepeR B6- yes radar detectors do pick up freq. around construction sites and grocery stores but the amount of detection it picks up depends on the type of detector you purchase. The higher end ones usually dont pick up as frequently as the cheaper ones since they filter it out. The detection u get from grocery stores and such are usually x band which is normally not use by an officer anyway.
