I agree that there is a difference in definitions of clean. All the S2K's posted are some of my fav's for sure, but I wouldn't call them clean per se.
My "clean" vote goes to white_s2ooo, or the berlina with the MF-10s
And as for those calling the highly modded or race-inspired S2K's "rice", that's your opinion and goodness knows you are entitled to it. Where it turns to "hating" is when you open your mouth about it and bash other cars (armed with inaccurate facts such as cannards '[doing] nothing') when there is no need to (such as this thread).

I used the term "clean" a couple years ago on this site to describe a car which I thought was attactive and simple. It lacked crazy levels of body work. It was an S2000 with simple modifications, nothing outlandish or over the top.
Clean.
Void of excess plastics. Void of excess stickers or paint. Void of unusual configurations.
A car, with pleasant additions.
But I think it's become something different since that time.
