Default Satin Pearl White AP1

So I recently got my 2003 wrapped in 3M's fairly new Satin Pearl White. The installer had trouble wrapping the side mirrors and door handles so he plasti-dipped them in black.. I wanted to get opinions here on what I should do with the mirrors and door handles.. I heard from other vinyl installers that the mirrors are one of the hardest parts of the car to wrap.. one installer told me to not wrap them as the wrap will start coming apart in less than 2 years (not sure if that's true). but im definitely getting the handles wrapped with the leftover vinyl I have.. just need to find someone who does a good job while charging a fair price..

Here are some pics.. not the greatest, but its what I have so far since I just got the car wrapped.. also, do you guys think I should change the roll bar covers to black?

PS: will be taking better pictures next week

Matching would look better. Not wild about that wrap color either... it looks like a white S2K that sat in the sun for years without being waxed.

honestly.. ive only had the wrap for a few weeks now and ive gotten more compliments now than before it was wrapped.. ive owned the car for 7 years, but it was suzuka before though,lol..wish i just would have done this earlier..but never heard of wrapping until recently..

i was at a honda dealership the other day and my car was parked in line to get serviced for warranty and 4-5 of the service customer service guys came out to look at the car.. im flattered because im getting compliments from mechanics in southern california that work on the s2000 all the time and give me compliments on the car.

congrats! well you know that i love the satin white pearl wrap! looks great! try talking to Jon or Mike from Precision Dynamix about wrapping your door handles and mirrors. They were the guys that i was going to go with to wrap my car.

keep us updated on the upkeep of the satin vinyl. I really want to know just how much of a pain it is to keep clean (or not).

hey thx Chris..im going to give Precision Dynamix a call tomorrow.. the maintenance on the vinyl is somewhat high.. its definitely more than when i had suzuka paint.. i dust the car about every 2 days (im a little picky now, but down the line i probably wont dust as often)with a california car duster and wash it about every 1-2 weeks.. it will take a couple of days after a wash before i start noticing finger prints by door handles, but thats easily removed with simple green (which is recommended by 3M to clean vinyl, or you can use isopropyl alcohol mixed with mater).. just spray on and wipe off with a microfiber towel.. i garage my car but it attracts dust pretty easily.. thats not a problem because i can just dust it off..

i dont know how it compares to GPW paint because ive never had experience with that color, but im assuming GPW or any white car gets dirty rather quickly.. although the pearl white vinyl dusts easily, its not a thick dust, but something i notice and just want to get rid of..

if you dont garage your car, i definitely wouldnt recommend this color vinyl for your car... unless you use a car cover..
