Seibon Seats in S2000!
Before I post pics here let me clarify that I KNOW the current install is going to kill me. I am aware of the dangers of spinal compression in a rollover. But I must explain how this is an improvement over what I previously had.
I switched my OEM seats with a friend that was having another friend race his car and couldn't fit in his Tenzo-Rs. So his Tenzos ended up in my car. He installed them just to get them in and didn't bolt them down in two places. The harnesses were just wrapped around the bracket frame.
After my buddy drove around in the OEM seats he offered to buy them. I took the trade and $600 bucks. Then I planned to buy these. After finding out about how they were installed I got on the ball about getting the Seibons. I sold the Tenzo-Rs for $300 and purchased the Seibons for $800 for the pair. Sparco brackets were modified (hacksaw and drill) to fit the "universal" Seibon seats.
I didn't have the coin to get the rollcage now to do the install right. So the harnesses were attached to i-bolts on the floor of the car. Again I know this is dangerous but I hope to be getting a roll cage and hard top come 2007.
So here they are; I don't know of any other S2000 with these installed. I think they look great in the Berlina since my car is themed black with red accents. My only gripe is the distance between the headrest and the roll hoop. That picture is of the seat in my driving position. It looks goofy but once the cage goes in I'll get rid of the hoops and it shouldn't be an issue.

How wide are the siebons (hip width) internal dimension before/after padding is compressed?
Are the covers removable?
Going to make a custom seat insert to conform to my body exactly.

Nice seats
, but I don't get why you don't just use your OEM seatbelts until you get a roll bar?

how are they mounted? your harnesses i mean. Seats look good though.
