$40k - wow.

For that money you could get a '04, drive it to the rev-limiter all the time until the engine finally goes after a few short years, replace the engine, and still come out ahead.

im pretty sure that you cant legally register the car if you put a motor in that's older than the car.

the easiest way to get a 9k in a 04 is a 03 conversion. the dealership near my house still has a 03 in stock selling cheap!

i'm still not sure i quite understand what the big deal with the 1k is.. sure..9k is great...and yes, i see 9k here and there, but i'll be honest, most of the time, i don't see 9k... and i do wish that i had some more low end to get me around town sometime when i'm stuck in light-to-light traffic and a civic blows me off the line.

No offense but if civic's are blow you off the line, you are doing something else wrong. Don't blame the car for your mistakes.

Well since the car isn't bought in the US. American Honda wouldn't honor anything. They don't even honor cars bought in Canada.
