This car looks beautiful in every angle. Look at the beauty shaped underneath!

Glad nobody was hurt.

At least no one can try to sound funny by posting "I'll take the wheels"...

Looks like maybe that rear rim failed, fell the **** apart causing this unforunate event? All the other wheels appear to be intact. That really must suck, that was a pretty looking car too

just shows you shouldn't track what you can't afford to lose.
How do you know this guy couldn't afford to lose the Corvette? How do you not know that he didn't just get up from the hospital bed and go right back into a Chevy dealer to pick up another one?

Even if he can't afford to replace it at the track, what difference would it be whether he totalled it on the track or on the street? Sure insurance may not cover it on the track, but there's a possibility that insurance won't cover it on the street either.

What makes you think he can't afford it?

I did not get the impression that is what the poster meant. I think that he was attempting to highlight the possible cost of racing.

I really do want to know if that wheel was the cause of the accident.

I think it was a blanket statement.. not saying the guy couldn't afford, just saying it goes to show... if you can't afford to total it.. don't race it.

Here's a quote from our local forums...

"just got back from SOW today, and this new 05-06 vette the new body style, was taking the S turn to fast and did a indo flip then caught air sideway. The driver was fine but his car was a total lost."..... Birdie
