A small badge mod...and other fun pics!
So which do you like better.....the S2k or the NSX? I now have an S2k but had always wanted a NSX!!! So now my son wants to know if I still want the NSX. To be honest I don't know now.
No power steering in the NSX. So it felt like a really heavy race car. I know at speed, it was pretty nimble, but still not as comfortable as the S2000. I know some people say that our cars are raw track cars...but that Power steering really makes for a more civilized feel.
So I guess if I had the cash, I'd go for a newer NSX. Its def not a hop in to run errands kind of car that the S2000 can be.
Did you cut that from Aluminum? Thats a neat idea...I might consider making my "own" branded emblem. I already made a "s" from a rapid proto machine in my office...but its got a lot of stepping in it.
Nope...I used your trick. Here's something you would have really hated. The MY2000 badges were directly out of the Honda parts bin. They were the same as the Civic, Prelude, and Accord badges size and proportion-wise.
The MY2001 then got slightly larger badges. Then in 2002+ cars, they got the 'truck' size badges.
When I cut the ring off the emblem, surprisingly, I did not find cheap, white plastic underneath the chrome plastic plating. I then scuffed the chrome off with a very fine grit sandpaper and the result was what you see in the first two of my pictures.
Later, I sprayed the badges with satin black for more of a stealthy look. I now am completely de-badged.
