Wow. I read as well what happened. I know of so many people making the same mistake as he did. Everyone be safe when working on our cars.

RIP my friend.

Well lets put it this way I have a stock airbox in the engine bay
I was parked next to Paul at BW last month and we were helping each other sort though the ever present problems with modified S2000s. Paul's super charger went and put him on the side lines that day and I was having my own problems that keep me out of the game as well. Needless to say, we each had a lot of time to "catch up" and help each other sort out our issues. The main bearing on his SC failed and the pulley was walking and causing all kinds of problems (oil leaking and the belt was slipping). This is why the SC was removed..... He was going back to OEM for track durability / consistency.

I feel so terrible, I know how much Paul loved love to work on the S2000 and how much he loved to drive it at the track. I can only imagine how much more so he loved to spend his time with his family.

My experiences have always been one sided, but it was clear to see the man he was in his daily life. By all accounts, you will be missed Paul.

Bon Voyage
