I'm having crappy weather in NJ as well but I keep my car covered anytime there's a hint of snow. Makes it way easier to clean off as well as preventing scratches from ice being cleared from it.

It snows also in Poland at the moment and i am happy with that as now i am able to make 300meter drifts on the roads. Every time it snows i have my car(Fiat 131 Abarth replica with honda s2000 engine and gearbox) ready for that with studded winter tires i go with my friends to abandoned places at night just to drive there for few hours. This is a lot of fun and with honda s2000 it should be also possible for all of you so winter whather does not suck if you go for a ride late night(lot less cars on the roads). The only problem for you may be the cops as i remember them to be very strict about enforcing the law in the US but here in Poland if you do not drive sideways in the middle of the town then nobody will care about it

Unless you plan on driving the car, I wouldn't scrape the snow/ice off it. It will **** your paintjob. Trust me!
