Use photomatix... its a lot easier for most, it practically does ALL the work for you

Try with 3 exposures first.. -2EV, metered EV, +2EV

Neither does the rear bumper. It's just the way it is and apparently the HDR makes it worse.

I would love to get some pictures done of my car with that effect.
