Recently I've taken an interest in photography, mostly as a hobby.

I prefer night shots as they don't reveal all the imperfections on my car.

Unfortunately, they also don't reveal THE car . You need to light it up more. The lines aren't visible - I can't tell were the car ends and the shadows begin. Black cars are very hard to photograph, especially at night.
Sounds like you might like this website: www.automotivephoto.com. They have some incredible pics there, especially in the "shooting track" forum. I'm just getting into photography myself. It can be addictive! I just picked up a D70 a couple days ago
