Oh yes i know it is nfr but it was really bad since its a 2000 the glue had stuck into the paint and I couldnt remove it anyway....
ask around a lot of people have to paint it due to the fact that the glue sticks after a couple of years...

If it didnt come off by just trying to clean it regular... iam sure you could of tried to buff it out. I would have tried that b4 going to the extreme of painting it.

there were a few threads about the clear coat being inperfect and what not under the paint.

You shoudln't have to paint it under the tape, just clean it and and wax it.
