Test drive



After I brought it home


I found a Rio at a local dealer and took a few pics for inspiration


lowered it



Rio ap2 front bumper


covered the carpet console with vinyl


OEM radiator sprung a leak


replaced it with a Mishimoto


ap2v1 wheels


OEM


Vanity plate & HKS exhaust


ap2 shift knob


I got a replica lip but it didn't fit as good as I would have liked...


I got an OEM lip


and a Coastal Metals splitter


test fitting lip and splitter


Spa paint job



final fitting....looks sooooo good

thanks I am very pleased with how it turned out...next will be wheels but not for a long time I think.


I took it out for the first time this year and within 10 minutes I had a cop following me THISCLOSE down the road, I wasn't speeding or anything
He finally gave up and I continued to my destination and when I got there I heard "that is niiiiiiice" from some guy walking past, lol.
That works for me, I'm just glad it made it in and out of the driveway without ripping it to shreds.

Great work! Very tasteful mods. How do you like the splitter? I have mine packed under my bed--waiting for warmer temps before installing.

I absolutely love it. it looks great and protects the lip from scratches. My driveway sucks and the car is a bit too low with the lip and splitter now so I scrape every now and then but there are no marks anywhere to show it.
