That same pic was in speed magazine (Road and track's tuner mag). Don't have the mag in front of me, but the article (in Speed) speculates that this will "replace" the s2000. Also speculates that it will be FWD (hence the "FF") or AWD hybrid (one motor for each set of wheels). Suicide doors too (hence the "RX-8"). 2008 or something? Of course this is all rumor...

Personally, I highly doubt this will take the S2000's name, but possibly it's place in the honda $30K sports car category.

 

Platform may change, however I do not suspect changing to FF or other format.

looks similar to the honda dualnot concept a while back. at least thats how i remmeber it looking.

the dual note was pretty crazy.

If they make it a 2 seater hard top convertible, manage to keep the 50/50 weight distribution and keep the weight down, i think they might have something.
ohh and change the front grill.
