Honestly everything on your car is functional and looks great, I don't think there's a reason for you to shy on your brakes. If you want to upgrade then truly upgrade to a bbk, spoon is nothing but oem calipers with jdm bling.

But that is all he is looking for, some bling factor, and in that regard the Spoons offer a lot of eye candy IMO, I love the way they look and the colour goes with any vehicle colour IMO.

BTW, I love the 240z , we had an original one many, many, years ago, that was such a great car to drive I learned how to drive stick on that car. I've wanted to drive one again recently and see how they compare to the old days, they were so much fun and the powertrain was so smooth as I remember.

to be smart, its way too much money for brakes. Also, you don't have enough blue on the car to go with the brakes if they were blue. The entire car is black and therefore has a stealth look to it. I would simply paint your oem brakes black or dark gray- or red to match the wheel strips. save your money on brakes.

If you can afford spoon then go for it. I'd pick spoon as well for the main reason of all the brake pads and rotors that will works with them. This is so cost effective. Yes, I saw a used project mu used on here for $1500. Yes, that's a great price but have any one looks into replacing these parts? It cost $800 for 2 piece rotors, pads cost $400 for the front set. All these JDM replacement parts are crazy expensive. Spoon is the cheapest JDM you'll get for the money. No, they don't cost $2k. Damn, where do you people shop? You can buy brand new from any where between $1500-1700 brand new. Now, stop performance is where I'm trying to find more details about on them since I do track day and auto x. Seem like people claim that they are just on oem performance level. I wish I have money to for a set right now. Good luck.

Have you look into Wilwood official kit? The 6pot caliper kit. This will look nice too, the whole kit cost $1700+ shipped!!! I've seem lots of people used them on track day. Then some still claim they're lame for track! To each his own i guess on big brake kit.

From what I read, they retain use of all the pads that are compatible with stock calipers.
