Old 180z is a classic. The Spoon HT was based on the old S600 design.
I have to politely disagree. The Spoon hardtop is reminiscent of the S600/S800 coupes like this one:

The OEM hardtops for the S2000 on the other hand are based more closely to the S600/S800 convertible hardtops like smithenhiven's car:

Does the spoon ht require a rollcage installed? I just got my S2k and I'll be needing a ht for next winter, so I'm just debating on whether to get the Spoon ht or the Mugen ht. Thanks in advance.

No. The spoon hardtop is a street version now. You bolt it to the car.

Love this car.

However, what effect does this hardtop have on the coefficient of drag of the S2000?
Does it help produce more downforce?
How much does it weigh?

Thanks in advance for the help.

The CF version of this hardtop weighs nearly nothing (dry CF). I picked up the back part of it before it was maybe 4lbs?

mmm.. after seeing all these pictures. i began to wonder if there is any hardcore trackwhores who doesnt need a trunk, removed their softtop motors, and somehow cut and made flush the entire space from behind the seats, to where the softtop was, and to the trunk, allowing space that may substitute a trunk?

just a thought. i love the look of this hardtop. sorry for the long sentence =] it literally was a train of thought hehe
