Default spoon spring help

i put on the spoon springs on 05 stock dampers and the height is almost stock. i drove on them for a while but they still look really high. if anyone has pics of their S2K on spoon springs please post them.

all of my searches turned up threads at least a couple years old and the pictures no longer show.

thanks.

I have spoon springs on my car. I use 225/45-255/40 which help reduce the wheel gap a little. I have a wide two fingergap in the front and a tight two finger gap in the back.

I think yours might settle a few more milimeters.

two fingers with the bigger tire? mine should have a larger gap than yours. i put the 215 tire on a 7.5" front rim so it's a little shorter.

since they're progessive it might take longer than usual for them to settle.

ride around on them for a week or so. if you still have no settling then you may want to get rid of them for something lower.

Spoon makes their products to function more than anything you will more than likely get a tighter ride as the spring rates may be higher than stock, but i dont know the full specs. Its known that lowering the car will improve handling, but the S is already low from the factory compared to the average. My guess is that you will get a minimal drop, but tighter ride. Spoon knows their stuff.

hey ken, jdmkd and rosodigital are right. you have to let it set for awhile. how long have you had them on for? you know, im using tein s-tech springs and honestly im gonna take them out and put some spoon progressive springs.

when i had them on my old ap1. they rode very nice. and yes they do lower the car about an inch. thats not much. but the ride was very nice. a very good addition to stock shocks.

how does it handle now? do you like it besides the looks?

joey
