I'm just trying to imagine what the shipping would be on that. It's got to be at least a two piece design if you are going to replace the trunk. The CAD drawing doesn't show where it would disconnect though.

Is it going to be more expensive than mugen or stock hardtop?

I guess the question really is how big a demand is needed to make the mold and production. The U.S. is obviously going to be the biggest market for any S2000 item. More s2000s are sold here then the rest of the world combined. Do you need to sell 100 tops at $5000 US dollars plus shipping and applicable tariffs? I would be willing to bet that's not going to happen. You might be hard pressed to sell 50 at that price, since Mugen has only sold about 75 CF Hardtops in 6 years. If you are looking to sell 100 tops at $2500 plus shipping, etc. You might still be out of luck considering Mugen has only sold about 150 Fiberglass tops in 6 year of production. Remember these are worldwide sales numbers I am giving you. There is only going to be a very small segment of S2000 owners that will want something like this. That's why items like this hardly ever get put into production, unless the manufacturer has a reasoning for it, like their own race vehicles.

^ Not to mention that the Mugen top (including the style variety) has more appeal.

Seems like the Mooncraft is a love/hate thing with many people.
The photochop looks the best. Followed by the race cars.

Another consideration is noise. Will this top be louder than the Mugen? Will it come with a lining like the OEM?

Stocky, can you paint the top white and leave the sides CF like on the mugen and post another pic? It might give us another reference point and look more sexy. If you can get the same visual cue without adding the weight from glass, this might be really nice.

Asura, I got this pic from chummy's company.

That's the orgininal CAD drawing so I cannot alrter it except with photoshop.

Maybe someone on here has good photoshop skills?!

he company ENDOKAI actually produces already dry carbon hoods for the S2000.

I've got one on my race car.

it would have been really cool if the s2k came in hardtop/convertable versions. i would love a mooncraft top on my car, but a supercharger is less, easy question if i had the $$
