Does it have to be "washed" off, meaning it needs something rubbing on it to remove, or just spray with water? Just wondering what happens if it rains. I will try using it the next time I take a road trip. Did it leave any kind of residue when removed? Does it peel off like a layer of skin?

 

Exactly, it's like a thin rubbery substance. But it wipes right off with your finger.

 

I used a sponge with soap and water to get it off. I don't think it will come off with just a hose. It came off pretty easy though and didn't leave any residue.
