i gotta admit, that thing is really really cool but, they coulda made it look just a tad bit nicer in daylight for $3000. But it seems to be a pure performance piece which is what I love. two thumbs up.

It's not 3 grand for the instrument cluster.

Go to the Stack website, and the digital dashes are in the $1-2k range.

Who makes the mounting plate and how much is it?

You can't just use the gauge cluster. Can you?

The Stack 8130 is $1700-1800 depends on the exchange rate. The one shown is 8100 which is easily over $2200. With back ground panel, mounting plate, and wires. Your cost will be easily over $3,000.

Racerpartswharehouse sells the 8130 for $1295 US. The lap timing module is an additional $440 US.

According to Stack USA, the 8100 is $1398 US.

BUT the 8100 comes with no ability to read fuel level, it's not even optional, so why the hell would you want that one?

All you need is the mounting plate and you are good to go. Who makes one anyways?

So how does the lap timer work anyways? Do you set up a beam on the track?

OH! i have some random questions.

okay, so, that stack cluster gives s2000 higher red- line...
so if it goes up to 10 + rpm,
what if we use that to new '04 2. 2 s2000?
is that even possible and safe...
yay or nay?

There is no way a gague clusters alone will give the car a higher red-line. I'm sure it just has the capability of reading up to 10K rpm for race cars.

Hmm. Is there any reason to have this cluster besides the bling factor for an N/A street car???

Anyhoo, it looks nice I guess.

cant picture that fitting for s2k... guess i'm too used to stock stuff

The gauge doesnt change anything RPM wise, just doesnt show the red.

It's mostly for bling, it might lighten the car slightly... highly doubtful though.

Visibility of RPM's though which becomes very important in racing/drifting/ect ect... that is probably where the real reasoning lies.
