Default Stealth/Sleeper FMIC

I got my Eastwood Radiator Black Satin Finish Spray Paint from FedEx today after coming home from driving around for 80 miles and finally got my X5 to finally pass smog after the sensors reset.

Since I took the day off I decided to spray my Evo 9 FMIC black!

I took off the bumper and the FMIC and then took it to the backyard and gave it a good scrub and wash. Once that was done I straightened out the fins which took a good 25-30 mins. Then I left it out in the sun to dry for about another 30 mins and then begin to prep for paint. I put 3 thin layers.

If you ever want to do this instead of anodizing I HIGHLY RECOMMEND only using Eastwood Radiator Black Paint only! The can was $14.99 shipped and was well worth it. Buy it from www.eastwood.com and use the coupon code: THANKS for FREE SHIPPING! Ebay is $19.94 shipped and amazon is $14.99 +$4.95 shipping.

After 3 thin layers I was very satisfied. This paint will not clog up like other spray paint. It also dries up very very fast! I let it sit for like 5 mins and it was completely dry and ready to go back on the car!

Here are the pics, enjoy!

Yeah, I live in So Cal and I want less attention from cops.

I'm gonna find some black bumper mesh and put it on also. Anyone know a good place to get it that's not overpriced?

That would annoy the hell out of me if my intercooler was crooked like that.

Yeah, one of the brackets holding the FMIC cracked 1/2 way and about to completely break off. That's why one side is hanging lower. Gotta get it welded. =\

I'm gonna upgrade to a bigger FMIC sooner or later so i didn't bother fixing it now.
