If you are going to choose a car for how big of a crowd it would attract rather than the performance, then you belong in an R8 because youd probably take the GT3 near its limit and wouldn't be able to control it. I'll take that GT3 any day of the week over the R8.

But as far as a car that is track-worthy and also has all the creature comforts and ample space of a daily driver, exotic looks, and great visibility all around, you really can't beat the R8.
It's really the modern-day NSX.
