There is only one thing I have against the cops in that video, When the cop says,Cop: "Do you have something that says this intake is legal?" kid: "umm no" cop:"well then its illegal". That cop is a jerk for doing something like that. Also do you have to open up the hood for the cop? I am against street racing (in certain situations) but i can't stand cops when they start to !!

i am so happy i dont live in CA. shit your headlite have to 22in off the ground. there are some production cars that dont meet that!

i agree street racing is stupid, do i get in the occsional race? yes. have i lost friends to racing(death)? yes. it is one thing to get in a hwy run at 3 am, its quite another thing to meet in mass numbers racing down 2 lane roads.

Either way, it's still illegal.

God, Cali needs some more crime so that cops can actually do something and modified cars can be left alone. Stopping people for street racing is fine with me, but to bust balls over parts is just retarded IMO.

Street racing was running rampant here back then. I went to many many races and never once did I witness any accident with any vehicles while racing although I did see a biker standing on top of his bike with his arms to the sides fall off... The guy hurt himself pretty bad but despite his pain, it was super funny

I would imagine the reason the cops have these people open their hoods is to of course locate illegal parts and force these people to restore their cars back to stock. This would potentially reduce the number of street racers because they have removed performance parts from their vehicles. Naturally some if not most will again restore performance parts to their cars but the more individuals whose parts are removed there will be some who do not replace these illegal components. These same individuals are less likely to attend these street races for fears of again being cited and facing heavy fines.

Just my guess???
