The NSX GT is by far the best looking race car in that class.

gt500 is one sort of class that participate in the supergt (which was called JGTC about 2 years ago)

gt300 is another sort of class (lower powered) class.

both gt300 and gt500 race together.

JGTC is now called supergt

during the race, gt300 & gt500 positions are shown separately from each other.
however physically they race together on 1 track

 

f2000, f3000, f1000, dtm, etcc, btcc, alms

americans participate in all of them i believe

these races are all purposes of product research & development.
americans are catching up, but in a different way. They've been big on drag racing, off road racing, and nascar stuff. whereas, japan and europe (including australia) are big on touring and prototype.

 

that is f'ing amazing. i really wish they would come here again
