I saw this live (well 7 sec delay). A local member said that guy zoomed by him luckily not hitting him.

The funny part is a family was watching it live and noticed it was their neighborhood so they went out side to see if they could catch the action. They go outside and the guy pulls up in there drive way and you can actually see them running back into the house.

Also the car jacker tries to run but gives up and turns around and puts his hands up. Then turns around and lays down on the ground, just as he is doing this a cop makes a leap for the car jacker and totally biffs it. Only 2 people were injured. 1 cop who dodged the car and the other cop that biffed it on tv.

only 'good' part was when the police man said they relied on the news update to keep the officors informed!! OMG

 

Yeah, it's like they had two lines to read from:

"He's driving dangerously" and "He seems to know the area"

I seriously doubt he knew the area. He would have been long gone if he knew where the hell he was going. Although, he probably always wanted to take that shortcut through the park
