I just bought some used Takata Green CE28N's and they're sweet (I'll post pics soon), however... I don't think they'll go well on my car. AP2 GPW with red/black interior and black soft top. What do you guys think? Too many colors? Anyone have pics of white cars with green wheels. I can't find too many. If I were to keep them what should I get to make them blend. I already have Rays extended black lugs.

too many colors based on the interior alone. I have timeattacks and i've been wanting to get them done in a different color but they match my interior and I don't want to have too many colors like you said.

 

White hardtop, black seats = your cool.

 

powdercoat them black or gunmetal

gpw/red is the best, don't ruin it with green wheels!

 

AJ's car has the same rims on there car

 

I've never understood how people can really consider taking wheels as nice and rare as takata green ce28's or time attacks and then have them powdercoated or refinished. to the thread starter, i say keep them and change your interior, or sell/trade them... don't even consider refinishing.

def dont change the color of those wheels. they are hot. and i think they look the best on GPW. who really cares if they dont match the interior. wheels are an exterior part so IMO as long as they match the rest of the exterior you are straight. I would actually love a set of those wheels. where did you get yours from and for how much (if you dont mind me asking).

if you are really worried about it tho, i say go with freq's advise and get the white hard top and black seats.

trade them to someone who REALLY wants green wheels. but please don't put them on your car.

as for funky colored wheels (green, blue,red,etc.), they might be cool now, but will you think the same of them next year? the best wheels, IMO, are the ones that look good five years down the road. Look at ILLroller, importsport, and Luder94. those wheels are a few years old and they're still gonna look hot in the next few years.

and only the few people who recognize TAKATA are gonna halfway appreciate them. i'm sure you're going to get some strange looks and people will whisper under their breath when you pull up to the valet at that new swank restaurant with green wheels.

 

id kill for green wheels.. hence avatar... waiting on work to want to do green again. haha

DONT CHANGE THE COLOR OF THEM. if u dont like sell them and get something else..


pm me how much you want for them and specs.. if its withing reason ill take em off you.. (but most CE sales are rediculous on here... people think they got gold.)
