Hey I know both the owners of the red and the black Mugenized cars. They are somewhat local to me. The red one is owned by Nick Wong (GTR Power) and the hihg-polished MF10's are hawwwt in person. Those were the first ones and the only ones (one-offs) that came from the M-Tec factory polished like that. The detail work on the polishing is amazing.
The black one is owned by Jahnke.
Surprisingly, in person the red one with the rear Mugen SS bumper cover looks great. On the black one, I'm not so partial to it. On black Mugenized S2K's, I like the OEM rear bumper (maybe with a little bit of customization....
, be patient, you may see something custom on mine).

i cant wait for your project to finish... its gonna be awhile i assume
No, no...the custom bumper I'm talking about will be on the black S2000 (ahem, notice the custom yellow/gold clear diffusors on it as well).
The red will be "rodded". There'll be flare on the body, but not so much so what import tuners may like.
Mechanic thinks the car will be built within 6 weeks. Then there's the time it'll take to do body work, interior work, etc. I'm assuming at the rate he's going he could be done with mechanicals and electrics by end of July. Getting the interior and dash custom fabbed will take another month, alonside the all the body work that'll take place.
November is the month of completion on my project plan...but we'll see. There will also be a detailed write up for publication going into this as well.
On one last note, the shop that this is getting done at, they are working on this car on the side, as a side project (it's a normal oil change, other service type of shop). Mounting up this motor and tranny took them about 12-15 hours in total during a span of a business week.
