I believe the car was worth somewhere around $50k to $150k. Most of the car parts were customized and one of a kind. The car was stolen off a trailer in a business lot in Chula Vista, CA. Then was recovered later also in a business lot in Murrieta CA.

Maybe they stole it again, and this isn't a repost. I wonder how you sell those one off parts after stripping the car... I can't see how a widebody civic can be worth so much money in parts.

 

I think they added in the cost of the man hours to fabricate all the custom parts.
