Tein RA or Tein FLEX?
Well, i am lost here. I was talking to my friend the other day to see whcih i should order first my RA's or my Rims and he said, why dont you get the flex and order the rims at teh same time, you'll save aroudn 400 dollars and you can put that in for your tires. So i was thinking to myself, IF.."IF" i even go to tracks, it might be jsut ONCE in this lifetime most likely and he might have a good point. For those who know or have experience with these two, which would you suggest? i can pick up the RA's for 1620 and the Flex for around 1220. Which route wiht you guys go if you were in my shoes? I mean i want the RA's because of a self satisfaction type of thing and i drive VERY hard. You guys think i might regret or rather pay the extra 400 and get the RA's? what is the main difference btw the two?
ok, the main difference btw the Flex and the RA's is that the RA's are a superior coilover system by far. Not only are the RA's better built, but they utilize a mono-tube design for the struts whereas the Flex's use a twin-tube design. This means the RA's use one big piston in the shock where the Flex's use two small pistons. The difference is that a mono-tube shock is much better as it dissapates heat better than twin-tube shocks. Therefore too much heat negatively affecting the coilover.
Bottom line:
If you want to play around with the "cool looking" EDFC then by all means get the Tein Flex. If you want a "real coilover" that will last and give you less problems and better performance, get the TEIN RA.

i did that last night but i dont know where it went. its GONE somehow. Btw, i dont think ima buy the EDFC, thats another 320 dollars that will go up to around 1550 again for the coilovers, might as well get the RA if i get the EDFC. So the edfc is out of the question unless it ALREADY comes with it thats diff but i dont believe it does.
if you're not going with the EDFC, get the RA's...Type Flex should really be used with the EDFC--utilize it fully, otherwise, might as well get Type SS if they make that for our cars. also, are you gonna be installing the coilovers yourself, or bringing it to a shop? if so, Flex with wiring up the EDFC will cost more
