i was really going for the one like u showed w/the m3. like an aggressive night shot. i was experimenting with color (or lack of), 2. believe it or not, that was the best shot LOL.

yeah i may better at photoshop than actually taking the picture. 2 bad i don't have it anymore

i'll add some 2morrow if this thread is still here. it's so clean i thought it deserved a photo shoot. it just doesn't listen 2 'try to look pretty' like a person does

get yourself a tripod. (a pricey one won't be necessary unless you plan on making a career out of it)
I picked one up on sale for 15 bucks at Fry's Electronics.
Once you figure out how to create some light in dark settings it will be your best friend for night shots.

Yes you can do a slower shutter speed and you will get a brighter picture, but you will need a tripod. The colours may be a bit off though unless you play with the white balance. Personally I like artificial light for night shots, they make the car looks great if done correctly. Here is a picture I took last year:

Here is a shot with less lighting that needed some white balance work, due to the sodium lights. It still turned out pretty good though I think:
