Just a comment on the sample that was linked above: That guy sure has a lot of time to talk to himself while he's racing! Kinda dumb, I thought a voiceover to represent his thoughts would have been more logical than making him talk to himself.

 

For those of you who want to watch the series, watch it in this order.

- Initial D First Stage (First Season, 26 Episodes)
- Initial D Second Stage (Second Season, 13 Episodes)
- Initial D Third Stage (1 Movie)

There is a few extra stuff that you may also want to watch:
- Initial D Extra Stage (1 Movie)
- Initial D Battle Stage (1 Vid)
- Initial D Special (1 Vid)

The last three are optional and don't really advance the story at all. Extra Stage is about two of the female characters in the series that the main character races in the first season. I think this one is worth watching. Battle Stage is basically a recap of all the races that the main character ever has in the series, but with new CGI and one extra race that is not in the series. IMO I didn't like it too much. The special is just the making of the series and has some live stuff. Rumor has it that a Fourth Stage is in production and also a live action (not anime) movie.

I would share it all, but I only have it on DVD and it would take waaay too much time to convert it all to divx. If you want to see it, it would be pretty easy to get if you have broadband and use either KaZaA or DirectConnect. That or you can do what I did and get all of it on DVD from ebay for like $60.

 

hehe i have that first stage as well and that is one of my favorite scenes.
