Sorry about the crappy picture quality as i took these with my phone. These are my old SO2's and just wanted people to verify that this thread wear problem is due to the camber problem or alignment? I have Tein RAs SLAMMED and i never aligned the car as these tires were already dead when i got them installed adn since i just intsalled my new RE750's today, I need to go fix this problem. Do i need Positive or Negative camber? thanks!

looks like negative camber from the wear, although i only see tires, and i dont know how they were mounted on your car. im sure its the usual negative camber though. so if you wanted even wear, give it more postive camber. when you take it to be aligned, they should show you the current alignment and ask you how you want it. if you want even wear to get the most mileage out of your tires, get 0 camber but if you want better handling in exhange for inner tire wear, get a negative camber. i feel like im blabbing about, im really tired so someone else comfirm what i just said

hahaa, thanks! yea the guy said it is negative right now thats why it is this way. Btw, is neg. camber bad for the suspenion or car or anything? he said i shoudl go positive..so what like 2? isn't that bad tho? 2 woudl be its like sitting the wrong way wont it? oh btw, the wear is on the inside if i remember right but i can be wrong. I do know he said this is from NEg. camber.

You can always help your tires by rotating side to side to help it wear more evenly. That way you wear the inside, then the outside, then the inside, then the outside, etc, etc... You'll be able to keep your tires on just a little bit longer AND you'll have more grip for longer as well.

try to keep the rears between -1.5 and -2.0 for the camber. negative camber doesn't wear out the tires so much as excessive toe. my suggestion would be to keep the toe between 0 and 0.2 (toe in).

BTW my car is slammed as well. i'm tucking the tires front and rear. my tire wear is even.

If your camber suy said you need positive comber you need to find a new guy. the reason for negative camber is as your corner weight shifts to which ever side of the car the wheel comes out at the top, the more negative camber you have the bigger the contact patch is... up to a certain degree. now if you only do higway miles i suggest -.5 but if you do alot of spirited driving and canyon runs go with -1.5 or 2. the more negative camber the more inside wear you will have, so you have to sacrifice a little if you want better performance for the street.

Imagine standing on your roof looking down at your car from above. The tires point inward toward each other with toe in. (Where camber is seen at ground level with the car looking straight at the front or rear.)

if you have a lot of toe they tires are basically fighting each other and causing excessive wear

oh yeah, i was referring to the rear toe. for the front you could go from 0 to a little toe out. it'll help with the turn in. but as smracer31 said you need to adjust your settings to the type of driving you do.
