I took off the radio piece and bottom underlying piece because I too, felt it was too prominent and major problems arose. It took some of the finish off the freakin' door! The heat must of stuck that piece on there so freakin' tight that when I peeled them away, it just wouldn't come away by itself. I tried to clean the radio cover but it just made matters worse so now I am scratching my head trying to figure out what to do with it. I think I am going to need a new one. Have NO clue if they're even available. I would say this is a very isolated case. I've taken kits off before with no such results, but needless to say, my radio door now looks like crap. lol I WILL figure out something cool though...until I can see if a newbie door is possible.
The mats, strangely enough, do NOT retain heat. They appear to be far enough under the floorboard to not get hit directly by the sun. Adding weight to the Momo knob is NOT the same as resting a hand on it because the knob is stationary. Usually when someone grips the knob and keeps their hand there, they are forcing the knob in a direction, however slight, either pulling or pushing. Just think of it as a very heavy knob. the action rules!

Russ,

the radio door is available - not too expensive, either. Check with H&A Acessories.

Car looks nice. Mags and exhaust suit the car and the Titanium trim looks nice. However, please get rid of those mats....

Nice! Better than the fake CF kit. Now, remember to ask your gf to file down your nails (scratch).

wow, somebody actually gave this thread a 1 start. I hope that was an accident.

Anyways, your dash is AWESOME! One of the best looking interiors I've seen so far for an S2000.
