yah, a tiny bit overexposed, and maybe you're shooting in improper sunlight. it appears a lot of these pics were taken around high noon or shooting into the sunlight. rule of thumb #1 is to have the sun behind you while shooting

practice makes perfect don!
Oh Master Jeff,... as you can see I'm in need of your help!

Yea it was at Noon, it was a hazy day but had to finish cleaning up the garage for next weekend. My biggest problem (I think)) is my white balance has no real adjustability. Just generic settings like Flash/Sun/Overcast,....

Side note: Are you SURE you don't want to come for some Pho next Saturday? Even though its going to be your BDay?

Use the exposure compensation button, not sure if D50 has one but it would look like this "+/-" and dial it into -2. If that is not enough go another to -2.5 or -3 whatever you have on the camera. You should do this whenever your car takes up most of the frame.

Hope this helps.

go to dpreview.com in the nikon section and do some searches for custom curves. i'm fairly sure that the d50 is capable of using custom curves from online and i've been using one for a while, but can't remember whose it is. there are also some white balance mods as well i believe.

as far as the pho meet, i'm slowly considering it now if i dont' have any plans during the morning/day. i'd definitely have to leave early however. i'll let you know

NIce pictures, thanks for sharing. I don't know photography, so I won't comment on that... I will say that some nice tint on your windows will set everything off nicely.
