Very Nice Find. With the lotus coming in at $50,000 and the Mustang GT coming in at 25, I think they should retest with the new GT500. The exige is a great machine and I want one, but comparing it to a car half the price with all season tires on a road course is a little silly. The exige was born to be driven directly from driveway to road coarse while the base mustang was designed for daily duty.

Thumbs up to both cars.

You can only take this show as good entertainment, not a real comparison. Even comparing the GT500 to the Exige S would be comparing apples to oranges.

"Have you seen the new top gear?"
"No, why?"
"They race a new lotus exige against a new GT on a road course..."
