And yet, passes like that are perfectly normal and accepted at motorcycle trackdays. Different orgs have different rules and if everybody's on the same page and the people being passed expect it, it's no big deal. Notice he never stuffed the S2000 on the inside of corners? He either passed on the outside, or waited until it was obvious the car ahead was giving him room on the inside. Looks like many of those cars were race-preped as well, so they're likely used to traffic in the corners.

And checking your belts, scratching your nose, etc., is what we're told you're supposed to be doing on the straights. You relax, check your gauges, flex your fingers to get rid of that death grip, etc.

dickers, far as I can tell, you turn in progressively, have a consistent line, always keep your hands at 3 and 9, you brake downt to the apex... Post up in the S2000 Racing forum https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=11, see what the guys there have to say, they have a lot of experience with this sort of thing.
Thanks!

Not taking that much risks from my point of view. Other cars are slower so they should pay attention to faster cars coming.

You should come and have a few laps of the Nordschleife, it's a lot more aggressive, between bikes, fast cars, buses and so on,even for free practice sessions.

Nice driving!!

Greatdriving. I didn't see anything wrong with the traffic. Driver moved off the "race" line to pass, which is totally normal even here in Toronto. Faster, more experienced drivers are told to move off the race line to pass. Lapping events are to the public. You can't expect everyone to have a fast car, or be a race car driver. There are first timers, and the occasional show off.

Perfectly said. There was nothing wrong with his driving. Smooth, predictable driving while giving the other drivers room while making the pass. And he never put his car at risk while making the pass either.
