turbo diary
8 psi? I thought that the tial wastegate spring is set at 7psi? I looked at the install instructions...should take about 3 days to be completely done..but might take longer since I am missing the fuel pump and the tial bov...sigh =(. xcusive do you think you can send me a video of your car so I can hear the bov =)
I thought that the Tial wastegate was supposed to be set at 8psi, but my car only hit 6psi on the dyno everytime. I have a GM boost control solenoid, but I havn't installed it. I might just go with an electronic boost controller and up the boost to 8psi a little bit down the road. I also thought that the install would take me a weekend to do, but that ended up turning into a month. Also, please make sure that you swap out your clutch before you go to get the car tuned. I couldn't finish tuning my car because the stock clutch with only 15k miles kept spinning and I need to go back now and finish tuning after I switch out my clutch tomorrow. As soon as my car is done I will make a video and post it on here. The BOV sounds good, not high pitched at all, just a big WOOSH sound, but the wastegate sounds really good when it opens up.
I already installed a spec stage 2 clutch before I even received the turbo. Me and my friend are going to be spending the whole next 3 days just on my car. So I'm sure I can do it within that time.
I agree that is one hardcore setup.... I remember installing the 3" setup and how much a bitch it was.....that 4" setup is going to be a very TIGHT fit but it's going to look
