Turbo S2000 vids...
I went by InlinePro yesterday to talk to Jon(owner of Inline and the S2K), so get some info about the turbo etc...
Here's what he told me:
2 stages for their turbo kit.
--Stage 1: Include everything, but has a Tial wasgate, Greddy BOV, no 3 mil headgasket, no cam gear, or FMU. $4500
--Stage 2: Has Turbosmart wastegate, HKS BOV, 3 mil headgasket, Vortech FMU, cam gear, and downpipe. $5000
Engine managment if left to FMU and V-afc. He says it doesn't through any codes either. He said if the $ is there, to get AEM EMS, but estimated about a week on the dyno to get it in perfect tuning
The cam gear is a OEM one cutsomized to adjust for the 3 mil headgasket.
The numbers he says in the vid are the same he told me in person.
My ride experience:
The car rides like a big N/A motor. No lag. Spools up hard and fast, but its no anything insane. Its studders under 4k, so it wants to be driven hard.
One thing I found amazing, you didn't lose the rear end at all under hard accelleration. It stuck fine. Around turns it could be easy to lose it, but straight line, it stuck like it was 240hp N/A. All in all, I was VERY pleased with the setup, and the results!
It was great. I'm definanlty looking into purchasing the Stage 2 kit myself.
Lastly, about the exhaust. Its a custom exhaust deisgned my Jon himself. Right now, its a N1 style with a 3" tip...angles out to the side a fair amount. He says that its going to be sold with a 4" tip, unless a customer would prefer a 3" tip. Its 100% SS with 3" piping all the way. Looks and sounds incredible. He said to look for it to be availible in 4-6 weeks. Price: $699(turbo only...not for N/A use). Test pipe or downpipe, not included with the exhaust.
Anyway, I know its kinda mumbo jumbo, but hope it helps a few people out.
Let me know if you have any more questions about the InlinePro turbo kit. I'll try to answer them!
Steven

This is not to bring inlinepro down or to anyone who is in favor of this kit, but I just want to set some things straight. check out the link to the threads and read carefully about people's different opinions on this kit.

Once again this is not to bring inlinepro down. This is just simply people's opinion on this set up and why they feel that way.

A lot of people who dont do there homework and research on turbocharging there s2000 end up disliking the idea of boost down the line. Some people think its that easy to boost a car and have it run right, theres a lot of competition out there and lots of different setups that can be used to boost an s2000.
Most of the people who are amazed by this kit, in my opinion dont do there homework. My reason for all this is simply to clear things up about why some people raise the BS flag on inlinepro's set up.Notice how when the people with experince ask questions on the thread about the turbokit all you get is, "if you have any questions call john at inlinepro here's his number".IMHO an afc, and 575 cc injectors wont cut it for 18 psi.First of all the facorty map sensor wont see past 12 psi., second super afc cant retart ignition timing to prevent knock, or control 575cc injectors. You cant just slap on injectors with an afc and add and subtract fuel and boost 18 psi and expect for everything to be fine, something is bound to go wrong.I will stop here because i dont want this thread to be a replica of the link, but if it does i will contact the pros who have more than 500 rwhp s2000's on boost to straigthen things out.Either that or inlinepro has to provide more DETAILED information on the kit to be fail safe for those customers who are interested in it and what a reliable setup. And I'll say it one more time just incase, this is NOT to bring inlinepro down or anyone who is in favor of the kit.
